Dr. Zara Wilkinson
The Professional Side
Dr. Wilkinson graduated from the University of North Carolina–Chapel Hill School of Dentistry, followed by a rigorous General Practice Residency at UNC Health Care Systems and the Durham VA Medical Center. Her residency experience strengthened her expertise in managing complex medical cases, dental emergencies, and advanced restorative and surgical procedures. She received the International College of Dentists Leadership Award and the UNC School of Dentistry Commendation for Outstanding Patient Management in recognition of her work.
A lifelong learner, Dr. Wilkinson has pursued and completed additional training in several dental procedures, including a Fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) and certifications in IV sedation and oral conscious sedation. She has received training in laser therapy, airway management for sleep apnea, and the use of Botox to treat TMJ disorder and improve aesthetics.
Dr. Wilkinson is an active member of:
- Academy of General Dentistry
- American Society of Dentist Anesthesiologists
- American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry
Throughout her career, Dr. Wilkinson has held various roles, including lead dentist, practice owner, and associate, in multi-operatory practices. Fluent in Spanish and Patois, and conversational in Chinese, French, and ASL, she thrives in environments that serve diverse families and communities.
Personal Side
When she’s not in the clinic, Dr. Wilkinson enjoys exploring Colorado, spending time with her family, traveling, and continuing her commitment to lifelong education.
