Great atmosphere, felt very welcoming from the moment I walked in to the end when I walked out with a nice clean smile. There so versatile on what they can do with state of the art equipment. I really enjoyed seeing James Cantua and he was nice enough to even take a picture with me after my visit. This is a new dentist office for me. I’m 75 years old and have about 6 virgin teeth in my mouth. The rest are crowns, root canals and fillings. For years, I thought when the dental assistant put the green towel around my neck and fastened it with a chain, that they were chaining me to the chair. About 20 years ago, I discovered that I wasn’t being chained to the chair!!!!! The Dental Nook has always been friendly, professional, informative and pain free. I would recommend them for your dental needs. The office is very clean, proper safety procedures were followed and the staff that attended to me were making sure I was not feeling any pain and was comfortable. I was having an old crown replaced, it had a huge cavity under it. Remember to brush, floss and use a water spray device on your mouth and gums, so when you are 75, you will have your own teeth too.
Everyone is so nice here!! I like the 3D digital scans they do. It is a really good way to see if changes you make are making any difference and to keep an eye on problem spots. Also, the hot towels at the end are fantastic!

Dr. Cantua and his staff are as good as it gets for me. I was introduced to this practice when I saw their ad, offering a free dental procedure for Veterans, on Veterans day. Their generosity, honesty and care compelled me to become a patient. A few visits later, it was evident this was a good fit. Dr. Cantua was very professional and readily worked up a great dental plan. I have been through many dentist in my lifetime, which were mostly good experiences but I have never have known such a genuine, dedicated, personable group, of professional people. Dr Cantua's staff of ladies are the heart and soul of the practice. Be aware, they will charm you.

My dentist retired and it took me 18 month to make a commitment to go to a new dentist, due to anxiety. I chose the Dental Nook due to a flyer I received in the mail. I am so happy I did. Couple fillings and several crowns later, as well as a deep cleaning I found my forever dentist. No pain during any of the procedure and everyone in the office is so nice and compassionate. Dr. Cantua and team are awesome 👏, great at what they do and very professional. I had no issues after any of my dental work. If i could I give 1000 stars!!!!!!!!!

Dental Nook is the Luxury Spa Experience of dental work without being extremely costly. Having had terrible dental work from numerous different dentists my whole life, I've always been anxious when going to the dentist, until now. When I first walked in I was offered a water bottle, a welcome bag, and a tour of the facilities. When they lay you back in the dental chair, they give your headphones, sunglasses and there's a TV above you on the ceiling where you can watch your favorite shows or just listen to relaxing music. They will also offer you a blanket if you're cold, and give you a warm towel for your face. If you have teeth removal, they give you ice cream as well. I have had numerous different things done here and each time have had the best experience! I was waiting for the anxiety to kick in usually by the day prior to my appointments and it never has. I barely even felt the numbing shot as they take great care in trying to distract you, keep you relaxed and use different methods to make you feel it less rather than just rushing you through the process in hopes of getting another client through the door. I have always been self conscious about my teeth, and now I love them because the way Dental Nook has made them look and how they made me feel throughout the entire experience. I would recommend them 100 times over!

It took me over one year after my dentist retired to find a new dentist. I get very anxious going to the dentist. When I first visited the Dental Nook immediately noticed the clean office and very friendly staff. Dr. Cantua put my fears at ease, explained everything I needed done in detail and all my procedures got scheduled in a timely fashion. I had so far cleaning, some fillings and several crowns. This dentist office is amazing. No pain during any of the visits. Everyone is so friendly and compassionate. I am so happy I found this office. My search for a great Dentist has ended and I am so grateful to have found my forever Dentist!!!!!!!

When I tell you I have major anxiety when going to to a dentist, I mean it. I put off finding a dentist for so long that it started to cause me lots of issues in my mouth and was forced to see a dentist due to the pain. I found Dental Nook and have seen Dr. Costillo twice this week. The staff was extra friendly, and I immediately felt at ease. Once I was in the dental chair my anxiety kicked in again but the doctor answered all my questions, was so kind, gentle and knowledgeable. I’ve had horrible experiences with past dental offices which led me to not visiting one for so long but I’m glad to know that I have now found a dentist for life.
I chose Dental Nook because of the amazing reviews and they didn't disappoint. Kailey, my hygienist, was very thorough. She explained everything really well and I was able to meet both doctors and they were very nice and funny. I had a small filling done by Dr. Cantua and the assistant Karen. They helped me feel comfortable and even gave me a huge warm blanket and let me watch tv. Highly recommend!

Dental Nook is a new modern feel and very clean. The best part of the experience was the Dental Assistant, Safarmoh who made the experience better with being very patient and thorough. There aren’t that many Dental Assistants out there that know as much as she does. She actually knows just as much as a Dentist with the questions I had and more patient with me.
Staff was incredibly friendly. They even set up a wonderful treatment plan for me, though I never once felt pressured to add on additional services. Will definitely be going back!
What a great experience! To be honest I don’t go to the dentist often, only when absolutely necessary, I find the whole thing a little scary. But everyone at Dental Nook took great care of me, but I’d like to heap some special praise on Sarfarmoh. She is the best!!! I was nervous about the procedure and she helped me chill. Her professionalism and gentle way set me at ease. It turns out the cleaning was no big deal and I don’t think I need to be afraid and next time I need treatment I won’t wait an extra 6 or 17 months between cleanings. I decided to try Dental Nook on recommendation of my mom after I wasn't too happy about my previous dentist. So glad I did! Kailey and Dr. Castillo were amazing. Kailey did my exam and cleaning and was thorough yet gentle. Best cleaning I've had. They really listened to my concerns and found a problem that had been dismissed by many previous dentists. Would 100 percent recommend!

Our child chipped a tooth. They were able to get us in right away and fill the tooth so it looks just like it did before. All costs were disclosed up front; No surprises. Luis did a fantastic job shaping the filling to look natural. The child is ready to start middle school with her smile restored to normal.

My experience was great at the Dental Nook, my dentist was great and so we’re the assistants as well 👍 from the time you walk in to the time you leave they really cater to you as a patient.
I hadn't been to the Dentist since 2009, so I had to find one quickly. The filling in one of my molars had crumbled away a few months ago and now was painfully demanding attention. We had just received postcard in the mail advertising Dental Nook. They were only 10 minutes away, they were in our network, and were accepting new patients. the first pleasant surprise - they had an opening for me in hour and a half. They emailed me the in-processing form and I got it filled out and returned and brought in a printout of my meds. Then the wait. I always expect a wait, but I was also experiencing increasingly more pain than before and something I had never felt before - anxiety. I was sitting down then getting up and standing up and sitting back down. I was surprised when my name was called in about 10 minutes after my arrival. They took several x-rays which instantly came up on a screen in front of me. then the Dentist came in and went over everything. I had the pain was from a rapidly growing infection under that molar. the molar had to be removed. I needed a lot of other work, but we were going to discuss that at my next appointment. They had a time getting the tooth out, the roots were well anchored, and the infection was not allowing the numbing agent to kick in. Finally, the tooth was out I less than an hour after my arrival. From my point of few it was a good experience less than three hours after contact I was on my way to the pharmacist for my meds and I was awake the whole time. Thank you, Team Dental Nook,

Great place with kind, intelligent, and gentle people. They also have advanced x-ray technology that cuts down on your exposure. I was given a lot of information on dental health as well as very detailed information on my specific teeth and gums. They offer a wide range of services including in-office teeth whitening. I really have a full understanding of what I need to know about my body which I have never gotten during previous dental experiences. Best dentist I have ever been to! We live almost an hour away from this office, but since the Dentists who work here we’re HIGHLY recommend to me I decided to make the trip, and will continue to do so every 6 months. This was our first visit to the Dental Nook for my two teenagers. The office was very clean, comfortable, and modern. Our welcome into the office was genuinely friendly, the wait was short, and the dentists (Dr. Castilla and Dr. Cantua) we’re both really friendly and knowledgeable. My kids liked the TV to watch while their teeth were being cleaned, and that there was also a screen that they could watch that showed what the hygienist was doing in their mouths-also the fact that she explained to them what she was doing/looking at- in their cases, checking out their wisdom teeth. When we got home, they told their dad about the visit, how comfortable the cleaning was and nice the staff were, and showed him the swag bags they got- and he asked if he could go there too- so I’ll be scheduling appointments for myself and my husband soon!

I had a lot of work done from Dental Nook @ North Gate. They were very professional and I felt welcome each time I entered the door. The dentist were knowledgeable and gentle. The assistants were supported by the dentists and other assistants. Luis was my favorite. He was terrific at everything part of his job. I felt very comfortable that the work was being done correctly.
Go here! Tricia is an amazing hygienist. Very gentle and caring. Both Dr Castillo and Dr Cantua where friendly and professional. Nobody tried to sell me on things I didn’t need. Every staff member I met was friendly and welcoming. No one likes going to the dentist but, this office makes me want to go back!!!

I had not been to the dentist for quite awhile. I have quite a few things that need to be accomplished. This morning I had an indepth consult and x-rays and then I came back this afternoon for the 1st step, a deep periodontal clean. Aubry, my hygienist, was so gentle and fantastic in the first step of a few more to come. I really appreciated the time that Dr. Castillo spent with me, coming up with a comprehensive plan to get my mouth healthy and back on track with that smile I love to give people.
I was very pleased to find the nook. Great people, everyone is happy, best cleaning of my teeth.

This office has amazing staff and Dr. Cantua is so kind and helpful. I went into this office for a 2nd opinion about some dental issues I was having; they got me in pretty quick. They went above and beyond to try and figure out what's going on. I would highly recommend this office!
All of the people are very up-beat, knowledgeable and they are very good at what they do. I was pretty nervous in the beginning, but as I saw that they paid attention to detail and that they took their work very seriously and that they truly cared about me and my teeth I now feel blessed to have found the Perfect Dental Nook for our family!

I had my first appointment today and it was excellent. The front office was friendly and greeted me right when I walked in. The lobby has a modern cozy feel. The lobby has a tv that was playing real shows and not boring dental infomercials. My appointment was on time and the hygienist was wonderful. I had a full series of x-rays without any discomfort. The cleaning was very thorough. The doctor had great bedside manner, was kind, and I didn’t have to wait for him to do the exam. I highly recommend this office especially for those with dental anxiety. The atmosphere was calming.

The people at this dental office are fantastic! They are kind, friendly, and very thorough in caring for teeth. They took me on a tour of the office, where they have beautiful equipment. They were quite thorough checking my teeth and were great about letting me know exactly what was covered by my insurance. They also taught me about my teeth and took pictures to show me exactly what was going on inside my mouth. And they had my X-rays on a large screen in front of me so that I could see as well. Overall, a wonderful experience. Update: the office staff are very kind when rescheduling appointments as well. My little one got sick fairly last minute, and they got me rescheduled quickly! (They do have a 48 hour cancellation policy) Great office!

Update: after seeing another dentist to have been a while since my last visit to any dentist when I went to dental Nook... although everyone acted nice when I went to make the next appointment I didn't realize my husband's schedule was going to be all over the map. I had to make an appointment but I had to reschedule it. My husband called it said he couldn't make it home in time. I had already scheduled they told me to find another dentist yeah who does that well I guess Dental Nook does. I can't explain to them I was under their care, the only thing they are looking for is the next paying customer. Patience no customers people. I thought they were nice but they were truly not next followed a letter releasing me from their care. I laughed as I was not going back there. They took outside the x-rays because they haven't said my mouth was too swollen. My left side was not too swollen the first time I was there. But they failed to miss this fourth stage periodontist. I truly wish I had gotten the correct Dental Care from the beginning. I have been there twice and they missed it twice. After seeing another dentist she didn't even have to look at my mouth the outside x-rays told her all she needed to know. I am now on my way to recovery not due to dental Nook. Please find another dentist. Everyone seemed to nice. They were able to get me in the same day. I had had a toothache for a couple of days. They took a look and decided to wait until the swelling came down. This was my first visit. They are so rude on the phone if you miss an appointment oh boy. They sent the letter that lied I sent it to the Dental association.
This dental office always makes you feel like family. They are so warm and welcoming. I would recommend to everyone I know. 100 stars!!!

I have had some nightmare situations with previous dental establishments so I'm very anxious when comes to dental work. When I expressed my fears Doctor Cantua went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable throughout the entire procedure. He literally preformed the best extraction I've ever experienced and it was a wisdom tooth. Today I am here for my third visit and I'm confident that they will take excellent care of me again. Also, they did this extremely neat digital scan today that I've never seen anywhere else. From Angie at the front to all the other amazing people in the back I've had such a wonderful experience from booking to end! I highly recommend Doctor Cantua and his amazing Team!!!
This place is really great! I usually hate the dentist but since we started coming here i’m starting to feel better about it. I think part of it is the staff, everyone is so nice and fun to talk to. To me, that goes a long way. It seems like a family there.
This is such a great place for dental work. He is super honest and will do his best to save the teeth and doesn't do unnecessary dental work. The staff is super friendly and so much fun. I have high anxiety with dentist and I didn't with Dr Cantua. Highly recommend this place.

Everyone I met at Dental Nook was so professional yet very friendly. They didn't try to force additional unneeded services like I had experienced at other dental offices. They accept my Medicare insurance and adjusted their fees to help make it more affordable. I definitely recommend Dental Nook.

Today was my third time seeing Dr. Cantua for work I have needed to do for a few years. I am finally conquering my fear of dentist with the help of Dr. Cantua and his amazing staff. Not only is he an excellent dentist, but he has hired and trained his staff to provide comfort for anxious patients. I told him today he is excellent with administering shots of Novocain because my previous experience was so painful I avoided getting necessary work done. So happy to have found such a competent and compassionate dentist!
The staff were all very friendly and courteous. My hygienist, Trisha, was very informative and explained everything she was doing and seeing and was gentle during the cleaning. Dr. Cantua spent a good amount of time with me and was very pleasant in his approach. Overall, it was one of the most relaxed and stress/anxiety free dental visits I have had in awhile.
Dental Nook is an amazing office!! Dr. Cantua and his staff are so caring and understanding. He genuinely cares about his patients including getting to know them, not just their teeth. Everyone explained everything really well and made me feel very comfortable. I was able to have a conversation with him about all my treatment and we planned the next steps with ease. They have an in house discount plan for patients like me who do not have dental insurance, which is amazing. On my first appt I received a new patient gift bag, got to tour their brand new office, they added a nice touch with warm face towels for after your appointments... and they even let me watch Netflix while I got my teeth cleaned!! If you’re looking for a new office this place is great!
Dr. Cantua and his staff could not be friendlier and more professional. I had not been to the dentist for 5+ years. I immediately felt comfortable on my first visit. The staff does a great job of explaining everything. My first visit was in September of 2021 and I've since had a deep cleaning and my wisdom teeth removed. I can't thank Dr. Cantua and his staff enough for changing my attitude towards treating my mouth better. If you are hesitant because it has been a while or looking for a dentist that is genuine and knows what they are doing, look no further.

This is by far the best dentist experience i have had in many years. I had an abcessed tooth that my regular dentist couldnt squeeze me in for an emergency visit until december. These guys were able to see me first thing in the morning and even called to let me know i could come in early. Exceeded every expectation I had, very gentle and everyone was super friendly. My advice? Ditch your current dentist and join their team for all your dental needs

We'd both had experiences in the past with the "chain" type dental places. So, the upfront, collaborative talk about assessment of teeth and gums and treatment is really appreciated by her (and me). Oh, and I earned a token and got to get a bouncy ball! Ha.
Excellent dentist, staff and office environment. I am very picky when it comes to health care providers. Dr. Cantua exceeded my expectations. His staff explains every procedure recommended and your out of pocket cost before he even begins his exam. He is patient, kind and competent, something I appreciate greatly due to some anxiety! I had a toothache so crucial. I called and made a first time appointment, and they were able to get me in asap. The staff was amazing so friendly and funny. Then the Dentist himself hands down wonder, funny, very professional. Long story short I ended up having to get one of my wisdom teeth pulled. He did such an excellent job with making sure I was comfortable and also making the process so smooth and easy I didn't feel a thing. Im definitely going back and recommending everyone I know. Today was my second time there. I went there the first time and found out Medicaid only pays for certain xrays every 3 years which is dumb.. Anyway The Dental Nook was still able to help me with the pain I had. Today I went in and they was able to fill 2 cavities and clean my teeth.. They all are so sweet . They made me feel relaxed and comfortable. I think it's great they have the tvs on the ceiling mainly for kids but I dont mind watching it lol keeps my mind off what their doin at the time .... My college-age daughter was only home for a short period before beginning missionary service. Unbeknownst to me, she had aged out of her pediatric provider, so I needed to find a new dentist. I had seen the Dental Nook office nearby when it was new construction, so I gave them a call. From scheduling to front desk to Dr. James, everyone was stellar. They made my daughter feel so welcome and comfortable and were super encouraging in everything she's doing. She left telling me she definitely wants to continue care with them after her mission. To top it all off, Dr. James sent her a thank you card for coming in! Definitely above and beyond with their service. Highly recommend.
I'm a 61yr old disabled retired high-rise construction worker from Chicago. I fear only doctors & especially dentists. Not because they're bad people but from childhood ptst. That being said, I will never be apprehensive of going to see Dr. Cantua or his staff after today. I've never had the privilege of being medically treated buy such compassionate & caring team of professionals. I will always be grateful to everyone involved this morning in my treatment. I will return to this practice (& this practice only) for as long as I live in Colorado, even if I was to move to the western slope. Big screens are mounted on the wall opposite the dentists’ chairs with your x-rays displayed. I found this very interesting ! The transparency integrated into your care was refreshing and reassuring. Dr. walked me through what we were looking at and what we could do. He did so clearly, concisely, in English you and I speak, and didn’t forget costs when it came to weighing options. Total dollar amounts were printed during their prep (Dr. did the cleaning !) while a smart and very sweet individual broke down the details of the bill and coverage and answered my dumb questions very patiently ! Again the process felt incredibly transparent. The procedure received seems to be just about the best I’ve ever seen it done, and the Dr. and hygienists really made the whole experience very calm. My life-long dentist (33 years of care ! How am I so old !?!), recently retired. Think I’ve found my new one !

We recently started using this dentist office and have been satisfied with the care we have received at our 2 appointments. I am a medical professional in a different field and hold myself to extremely high standards in my career. I so appreciate these standards being met from my personal medical professionals as well. So we all know being on time is not always in our control, but it is nice to communicate if there will be delays or changes. Both times coming to the Dental Nook, we have been taken back promptly at the time of our appointment and there have been no delays. I appreciate being made to feel as if my time is valuable, whether or not delays must occur. Next, Dr. Cantua is very aware of whether we are looking to chat or not, and he has not pushed 'small talk'. My first appt I was exhausted to the point of barely functioning, and he and his staff were very understanding of this. While getting 2 fillings today, he was very aware of keeping needles out of my eyesight after I mentioned my personal issues with needles. Finally, the 'small talk' that Dr. Cantua and his assistant were doing while the fillings were performed was light and appropriate unlike some conversations that I have heard previously while in the chair. His staff have been polite and try to make us feel as welcome as possible. My husband and I are happy to have found a local dentist that strives to give his patients the best care and attention possible.

After my first visit to the Dental Nook it was apparent how professional, personable, clean and thorough Dr. Cantua and his team are! They are clearly as sharp as the instruments they use! I felt more at ease here than any other practice that I have been to.... Bright, clean new office is a huge plus in my book! After some deep cleaning, extractions and overall health of my teeth and gums I am now ready for an alignment! Very excited and can not wait to see the end result! Highly recommended!
I’m 64 and have a bit of dental anxiety because of the way old school dentists practiced when I was young. Needed a tooth pulled so you can imagine my wailing and gnashing of teeth. Everyone was very friendly, thorough, AND professional! So imagine my surprise when I thought he was tightening a clamp to pull my tooth and Doc C says let me make sure it looks good and then we’ll take an x-ray to be doubly sure. I was incredulous! He had pulled the tooth! I literally felt nothing! Since then I’ve had my teeth cleaned and 2 fillings and it was a piece of cake!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE DENTAL NOOK and I’m old and rarely give recommendations.

Hands down the best dentist I have ever been too! The entire time from when i made the appt until I walked out after it was all done was a wonderful experience. The office and everyone in it was very warm and comforting. I have have many unpleasant experiences at the dentist so I am always hesitant to go but from now on it wont be that way. Dr. Cantua listened to everything I said and talked me through the work I needed done. He gave me honest opinions on what he thought was the best path moving forward. He also did all of the work quickly and the with no pain or discomfort. His assistants where educated, caring and super friendly! The hardest part of the visit was just trying not to laugh while they were working on my teeth. I would highly recommend them to family, friends, and anyone else who needs help!

Very recently moved to the Colorado Springs area and found myself in need of a dentist for some sudden tooth sensitivity. Called around based on my insurance and found this place. Jessie and Dr. Cantua were awesome. Really enjoyed chatting with them and they are both incredibly knowledgeable. They were totally transparent with me on the pricing and immediately did my fillings instead of rescheduling for weeks later. The cleaning was fantastic and by far the least painful I have experienced. Both have very soft hands and are very careful to make it as painless as possible. Very thorough examination. As a bonus, they have a TV on the ceiling if you're so inclined to watch while your work is being done. Highly, highly recommend this office to anyone in the Springs area in need of dental work - by far the best dentist I have been to in my life. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.
I had such a great experience here! Everyone is so friendly, the office is bright, very clean and new. Dr. Cantua was very thorough and I loved how I could see images of my teeth on a screen and have things explained to me in a way I could understand. I will definitely be recommending them to anyone in need of a new Dentist. Thank y'all so much for making my experience great!

We loved Dr Cantua and his team. They were easy to work with, helped to accommodate my family of 4 into consecutive appointments, and gave us awesome teeth cleanings. They were so good to my wife and I, and they did a great job taking care of my 5 and 2 year old! They came out right away with stickers and toys, and then rewarded them afterwards. Plus, the TVs on the wall and ceiling helped my kids (and me) stay distracted during the cleaning. They were great at sanitizing after each patient and helping us feel comfortable and safe. We liked it so much that we’ve already booked our next appointment for all of us (for which they’ll remind us of with a postcard). Loved the Dental Nook!
We loved our visit at The dental nook! Dr. Cantua and his team took great care of us. They taught us new techniques to keep our teeth healthy while our cleaning took place. Everyone went the extra mile to calm my children’s nerves during their cleanings, weighted blankets were offered as well as stickers, treasure box toys, and stress balls. Can’t say enough good about our experience and plan to continue going here.

I recently needed a new dentist. My old dentist suddenly retired before I could get two loose fillings fixed. I looked around and came upon Dental Nook. I saw the Google Reviews and the images provided and decided to take a chance. My expectations were excided. Dr. James Cantua and his dental assistant were fantastic. I found out that I didn't have a loose filling from my appointment, but cavities in other places, which then brings to question my past dentist as Dr. Cantua showed images of my teeth and the not so wonderful cavities that I had. Once he worked on the fillings, he adjusted the rate of one as it did not go as deep as initially planned. Dr. Cantua also explained bad dental habits that he could see from just looking at my teeth that past dentists either encourage or never told me otherwise in my dental care. I will be continuing to see Dr. James Cantua in the future and recommend him to friends and family. Other points worth noting For those worried about going to the dentist because of Covid_19, they take it seriously, and I recommend the early hours as it is quiet and very few people. They checked my temperature, had me fill out a questionnaire, and any areas that I was at, they wiped down and cleaned once I was done in the area. And they wore their masks properly. No mask under the nose sighted!
Other dentists say they're different; this one actually is. Don't be treated like a number at corporate dental offices. If you support local businesses, support private practices too. Their family cares about your family and will treat you like a member of the community that you are.
Best dental experience of my life. At 41 years old you can say that I have been to a dental appointment or two and Dr. Cantua was great. Beautiful office, wonderful staff and great dentist. What more can anyone ask for?
I was needing a new dentist since moving to the Colorado Springs area. Dental Nook was available, accommodating, and by far the best dental experience I’ve had. Jessie was so friendly- she gave me a tour and made me feel comfortable the entire time. The office is beautiful and state of the art. Dr. Cantua was very personable, knowledgeable, and kind. He was able to fill my cavity the same day which was very convenient for my schedule. I look forward to coming back!
I moved to Colorado Springs over a year ago and hadn't yet found a dentist. When the Dental Nook opened around the corner from out house, we decided to check it out. I can say, without a doubt, this was the most pleasant and enjoyable visit to the dentist I've ever had. The staff is so incredibly kind and easy to talk to. I came home and GUSHED about the experience to my fiance (something I don't think most people do after a routine dental check up). I cannot recommend the Dental Nook enough!
Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Gentle, kind and efficient during X-rays and cleaning. Clean, new and comfortable office. Dr. Cantua took time to answer all of my questions and concerns- no feelings of being rushed. Very thorough!
After very recently moving into the Colorado Springs area, my crown unexpectedly chipped. My husband didn't recommend the dentist he had seen in the Springs, so I googled other near by dentists, and Dental Nook came up. After a quick check to make sure they took my insurance, I asked if they could work me in. They fit me in very, very quickly. Once I came for my appointment, everyone was extremely kind, gracious, fun, knowledgeable and helpful. I was afraid that I would be paying a huge fee for a dental visit right before Christmas, but they were able to evaluate the chip and the need for a costly repair. Turns out, I didn't need an exorbitantly expensive fix. Just a file down to allow the floss the pass through. He said if I kept it clean and didn't have sensitivity, then I was good to not have to get it replaced. This is the first dentist I've seen that I haven't felt like they were trying to sell me on a costly, possibly unnecessary treatment. Oh, and the dental cleaning didn't hurt one bit. I'm normally fairly sensitive and come away from cleanings sore and uncomfortable, but today, there is no pain or discomfort whatsoever. If you are anxious about visiting the dentist, they also have a special room that is extra quiet, will dim the lights, cover you with a weighted blanket(if you would like that), and do their best to make you comfortable. I had such a great experience, I scheduled my husband an appointment to come in to the Dental Nook for his next cleaning and exam when I scheduled my own follow up. I don't typically doctor hop unless I move or they retire, so the fact that I was pleased enough with their service to change my husband's dentist is really saying something. This has been the best experience I've had with a dentist. I highly recommend them, they're very kind and competent, oh and gentle!!
Absolutely LOVE this office! Staff is amazing. Dr. Cantua is super friendly and makes you feel right at home. Also very informative and willing to answer any questions or concerns you may have. True family feeling to the office, yet still very professional. I’ve never been so happy with a dentist office. Very much worth what is a 25 minute drive for me!

Became a new patient here today after over a year and a half without a visit since moving. Came in with some tooth pain hoping for some answers, and also a cleaning. On top of helping with both those things, Dr. Cantua found a surprise cavity (my first ever) and took care of it quickly and expertly. Dr. Cantua and Jess were both absolutely wonderful, and the facility was clean, beautiful, and super welcoming. For someone who typically dreads dental visits, it's a big deal when I say I look forward to being back in 6 months. Thank you all!

Dental Nook is amazing! Dr.Cantua is knowledgeable, friendly, courteous, and accommodating--He made time to quickly get me scheduled for a procedure to relieve some pretty intense pain. The facility is new, clean, and comfortable. The staff is amazing as well, making you feel welcomed and at ease. My whole experience was pleasant--He even reached out the next day to see how I was doing. Highly recommended.
Dr. Cantua is fantastic! His practice is in a great location and he was kind and not pushy. He seemed very down to earth and actually was concerned about my teeth and was not just focused on selling me on additional products and services.

I went and saw Dr. Cantua in his new office, it is beautiful and in a great location. They is a large flat screen above the dental chair and that makes dental experiences better than the usual. Plus the doc is awesome!
